This is the second year for Woman-Made Art Fair, a fine art & craft fair in Duluth that features the creative work of women in the Northland. This week Radio Gallery speaks with Mercedes Moreland, one woman who will be highlighted in this years Women-Made Art Fair. It will take place July 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the College of St. Scholastica, in Somers Lounge.
Moreland is one of the artists who will be featured in this years Woman-Made: Marvelous Things by Northland Women Quality Craft & Art Fair. Her art consists of needle-felted animals from fish to dogs, and objects from dragons to gnomes. She also makes pendants with her work in photography. Much of her work come from the inspiration of nature, and natural objects such as farm animals and forest animals. She shares with Radio Gallery the process of her work with making needle-felted objects and her experiences with art fairs. This is Moreland's second year premiering her art at Woman-Made. This year it will take place at St. Scholastica on July 24th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
