People of a certain age remember when "don't litter," was at the forefront of everyone's consciousness.   

47 years after Keep America Beautiful's famous public service announcement admonished "people start pollution; people can stop it," it doesn't seem like we've gotten the message.

This morning's conversation with Walt Raschick about Duluth's Homegrown Music Festival revealed information about "invasions" by the festival into the Iron Range and the Twin Cities.

Luckily, he was talking music and not buckthorn.  But City of Duluth Volunteer Coordinator Cheryl Skafte says the Parks initiative to eradicate invasive species - and the formation of Rapid Response Teams - means business.
