FEMN FEST is an unapologetically feminist festival brought to YOU by a team of womxn-identified bosses. A weekend of music, art, workshops, education, film, and connection. The festival starts Friday, Sept. 21 and runs through Saturday, Sept. 22 in downtown Duluth in/around Sacred Heart Music and Arts Center. 

Three stage-areas will inhabit the downtown area. Amidst the musical and educational activities, there will be a maze of various womxn-owned vendors, artists, and art installations.

Singer/songwriters Thea Ennen and Lisa Kane have teamed up to form this harmonizing, eclectic country folk duo. Based in the Twin Cities, they performed in Duluth on Friday, September 15 as part of the first ever FEmnFEST, an all female music festival happening all weekend. We got a preview when they joined us in the studio on on September 15, 2017.

They talked about why they felt it was needed and about the music and workshops that will be featured during this three-day event.
