Bringing Joy - Minanaawigwendamowin Biijigaadeg

The United States Poet Laureate Joy Harjo (Muscogee Nation tribal member) will join Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College and the American Indian Community Housing Organization and for a special event honoring Joy, her poetry/writing, and her music. Joy Harjo is a writer and performer of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. She is serving her second term as the 23rd Poet Laureate of the United States. The author of 9 books of poetry, several plays and children’s books, and two memoirs and the recipient of several national literary awards as well as seven award-winning music albums – Joy will share her poetry and share about her life and experience as the U.S. first American Indian Poet Laureate.
