It turns out that the hardest part of talking about sexual violence is not broaching an uncomfortable topic: it's realizing it's so universal among the women you know it almost doesn't register anymore.

Talk to Rebecca St. George about sexual violence against Native women and you'll learn a lot.  While it's long been been known that domestic violence and sexual assault are about power and control, it turns out they're also weapons to get land and destroy a culture.
