No disconnect: heating assistance, public art and solar energy

The solar panels will go up before year's end at the northeastern entrance to the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

  Ecolibrium3's SUNraiser generated enough dollars to make the first phase of the project possible.

Not only will construction start on the  40 kW solar array to benefit the Duluth Veterans’ Place, three-quarters of the money will seed an Emergency Energy Fund to help families struggling to pay their utility bills and help those same families upgrade their homes' energy efficiency going forward.

And the special treat for folks actually driving around in the neighborhood? Think public art.  Think of the backsides of those solar panels as ... blank canvases, if you will ...!
