Where's Art? with Annie Dugan: art: it's not just for humans anymore

May 4, 2020

Folks can purchase a painting made by an animal (e.g. skunk, turtle, alligator) during an enrichment session. Paintings will be one of a kind – made with washable paint and card stock. The animal painting is an enrichment activity and not meant to mass-produce artwork, so paintings will be sent as the artists are inspired.

The Great Lakes Aquarium needs to feed - and entertain - their animals during this time and art is playing a major role.  Animals might not be singing for their supper, but they are painting for it. And Aquarium educator Emma Pardini is creating a Quarantine Animal a day.

The Oskar Fischinger Google Doodle  happened the day after the Homegrown music videos were debuted? Coincidence? The universe says no. Here are the music videos.

And UMD, UWS and the College of Saint Scholastica have all moved their senior exhibitions to virtual galleries ... call up a friend and take the tour together!
