Tonight, you can try your hand at your own creating with the  DAI Printmaking Club at the building in Lincoln Park.

There will be a closing reception for Shannon Cousino's "little exhibit of big woodcuts" at the Duluth Art Institute on Tuesday, December 10th from 5:30-7pm.

Lincoln Park's Craft District Holiday Market is this weekend: if you can't find what you need with 120 vendors in six locations around the Craft District ... maybe you should just go to lunch instead.

Warrior Printress' Letterpress/Art Exhibit—Opening Reception starts tonight at 5:00pm ... just when you might need a break from shoveling.

Tomorrow (12/3) being Tuesday and all, the Tweevening's get-together at the Tweed Museum of Art is Let's Talk Sculpture with Sterling Rathsack, starting at 6:30pm.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has an online feature art and book nerds need to take note of: MetPublications offers "five decades of Met Museum publications on art history available to read, download, and/or search for free."

Incidentally, the Getty Museum in L.A. and the Guggenheim have also released art books online.

Thursday's Give to the Max Day lets Duluthians - well, all Minnesotans - see the non-profit organizations in their communities that are working so hard to make life better for all of us.

Tonight is the opening reception of Umbra, by Terresa Moses at Zeitgeist, and following that, Cocktails & Conversation: Black Womxn Artists.  Moderated by Sandra Oyinloye, Moses will be joined by local artists Kym E Young, and Carla Hamilton in a conversation about their work, perspectives, and experience.

It's Halloween week, and that means there will be a lot of ... strange and disturbing sights through Thursday.

Actually, through the weekend.  The Duluth Art Institute is holding its annual Masquerade Gala Saturday night, and just in case you're worried that might not give your creative expression full range, there will also be a Marilyn Monroe Lookalike Contest at the Gala.

The Catalyst Content Festival 2019 opens this week, and includes, among a host of other forms of storytelling, a documentary called the Jeffry T. Larson Project.

These young photographers may be lecturing you about "the good old days of film" before long.  The Duluth Art Institute's public darkroom will be getting a workout when the Youth Film Photography Club gets snappy Wednesday at 5:30pm. 

Cafe Scientifique Night at Duluth Pottery is Thursday night (September 26) at Duluth Pottery.  Geek out on the science of clay, ceramics and glazes with artist Karin Kraemer.

If it's the last Friday of the month (September 27), it means it's time for the Downtown Duluth Arts Walk.

Emory Douglas is the guest lecturer in the kickoff to UMD's Visual Culture Lecture Series, tomorrow (September 17) at 5pm
