On the one hand, folks are supposed to stay home.

But on the other hand, they are allowed to shop for food.

And since food supplier Sysco Minnesota had some perishable stuff sitting around (about a ton and a half, to be precise), they offered it to the community.  Now Bent Paddle Brewing Company, Clyde Iron Works, Pier B Resort Hotel and the 2020 Census are putting on a Free Farmer's Market this afternoon.

Plus how one kid is spending his break (so far) enjoying "chemistry" with his family.

This native of Michigan's U.P. is now based in Minneapolis, where he recently recorded a fourth album, The Fire and the Medicine, due out this spring. We found out more when the Americana singer/songwriter joined us in the studio on February 26th He performed the same night at Bent Paddle Brewing in Duluth.

2019 Entrepreneurship Conference

UMD students, educators and entrepreneurs will come together for the 2019 Entrepreneurship Conference at UMD . People who attend will hear from successful local, regional, and national entrepreneurs about the impact they have had in their respective fields as well as attend workshops and network. Paid attendees will be provided lunch and all attendees will receive snacks and refreshments.

This conference is an initiative of The Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) and is 100% student-run.

Melissa Carper and Rebecca Patek formed this old-school country and folk duo in Austin, Texas before moving to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Carper, who plays guitar, banjo, and bass, has performed on Prairie Home Companion, while Patek is a three-time winner of the Wisconsin State Fiddle Championship who also plays guitar. The two joined us in the studio on May 29, 2019.
