Arrowhead Regional Arts Council

The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council celebrated a Northland artist and an art advocate this past weekend at the 21st Annual Arrowhead Arts Awards. Glass artist Mike Tonder and MacRostie Art Center Executive Director Katie Marshall were honored.

"Honestly tho...,"an exhibition about the revolutionary nature of vulnerability," opens this Friday, April 12 at Prøve Gallery in Duluth. This is a collective show, celebrating the power of intimacy, pleasure and physical body autonomy.

Beehive Collective

Beehive Design Collective have brought their art, storytelling and presentations to classrooms, coffee shops, colleges, conferences and this Wednesday, to Prøve Gallery in Duluth. 

UMD's all-campus art show, We All Belong, opens tomorrow (2/26) at UMD's Griggs Center.

ARE, a poetry organization for youth in the Twin Ports, is releasing another book of poetry by students and progam staff.

Head out into the snow on Friday night for the Downtown Duluth Arts Walk and you'll find the work of Jay Whitcomb at Prøve Gallery. Whitcomb opened his exhibit "Demons and Angels: Moments of Clarity" on February 8, a collection of introspective figurative works in paint and ink. 

Jim Richardson's Ore Boats in Space: Cartoon Visions of Duluth, Minnesota  is on display at the Red Herring through the end of November.

Duluth Artist Carla Hamilton's a solo show called “Minnesota Nice” is up for one more week at Prøve Gallery, welcoming visitors to stop in during the Downtown Duluth Arts Walk on Friday, Sept. 28.

Hamilton's exhibit has brought a fresh voice inviting the audience to examine their cultural constructs and social discomfort that create and sustain disparity and inequality through collage, film and more.
